Family of Joyce D.
I appreciate the kind, personal relationship that had developed between my family member and TVIW staff. It is never easy to see one’s family in a facility other than at home so it was so very nice to observe her encouraging circle of life there.
Sister Care 3 year client
Thank you for allowing Mr. Deleon to remain solely with us these three years. He was always punctual, dedicated, and provided genuine, caring help to my husband.
Thank you, thank you to all the caregivers, maintenance, food and cleaning service workers there at The Village at Incarnate Word for taking care of my beautiful mother and all her fellow residents. You have done a great job of keeping her physical, mental and spiritual health at the top of the charts. Many, many thanks to you.
I am so blessed to be a resident here…Ruth works extremely hard making sure that our medical and physical needs are met! All the personnel are so caring and thoughtful!
Everyone was exceptionally kind. I was even offered the desert, with no charge, and they gave me a cup of coffee. Each and every one I came into contact with were truly angels and WONDERFULLY helpful.
Family of Ken K.
Ken’s son is so relieved that his father had a good night’s sleep here last night – for the first time in a few weeks. He has tremendous peace of mind as he returns home to California tomorrow and his father does as well knowing he is here with kind, compassionate care available to him.
It is very beautiful and the staff is very friendly so are the residences.
Sister Teresa Maya, CCVI Congregational Leader for the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word
I trust that God is accompanying our Village community and I trust that God will point the way.

“Before the Village, mom was just existing. Now, she is living!
What an Amazing Place. Such great attention in the needs for our Elders by Incarnate Word Nursing & Medical Staff. Mrs. Helen Heye displayed such incredible care, kindness, and concern for the needs of her patients. As seen, She is a true asset to The Elders.
Mark Stokes, Connections Program Participant
The thing I miss most during the “shut down” is swimming in your wonderful pool. Because of my medical issues …it is the only way I can get any meaningful exercise.
Your faithful pool swimmer.
I am making this donation in memory of my aunt Jane who resided at The Village for more than 15 years. The loving care she received was exceptional. We are so grateful to all who made her feel at home.
I cannot thank you enough for the surprise at my door last night! Sisters Care has always been so wonderful to me. I am truly blessed with all the food, the meal referrals and mostly your smiling voices on the phone.
Family of Rose O.
I want to thank you so much for your attentiveness and courtesy and especially for finding such a beautiful room so quickly for Rose. She is happily adjusting to her surroundings and enjoying such good care from the staff…I wish more people could have the “Village experience.” How fortunate we are.
Sister Care Family Testimonial
Dennis has become an essential part of our team as he pays close attention to my father’s needs.
A University Nurse Case Manager mentioned to me this morning that her dad was on VITAS hospice and he was in DeMatel for respite only. She said she advocates for The Village and Sisters Care because of that very reason. Her dad and family had a very good experience with TVIW. Most importantly she mentioned that her dad had very good care while in DeMatel from admission to discharge.
